SAIL SADE STRUCTURE QATAR : HDPE , PVC and PTFE Sail Shade Stricture

WHAT IS THE SHADE SAIL?

Sail Shade adds a modern, stylish touch to an outdoor area. They're a great option when you are considering ways to provide shade. You'll be able to escape the harsh sun while still enjoying the feeling of being outdoors.

Here are some tips to consider when you're looking to buy and install a shade Sail yourself.

Shade Sail Fabric - HDPE / PVC and PTFE Fabric
Most shade Sails block a percentage of UV rays from the sun and it is wise to select a shade sail that offers a high amount of UV protection. Check for fabric warranties against UV degradation. It's also good to have fabrics that can breathe as that will help keep you cooler.

Look carefully at the construction of different shade sails to find the quality that suits you. Read the packaging and look at the product thinking of the amount of shade you require and the shape. Consider also material and look for features like reinforced webbings on all edges and quality stainless steel D Rings on each corner too. These features help to prolong the life of the product.

Design
Every shade structure begins with a great idea. While in most cases one of our standard products will fit the shade need perfectly, for projects that require customization, BAIT AL NOBALA shade representatives work directly with the end user in many cases, to conceptualize and design the perfect shade sail or shade structure for your specific project.

During this meeting we will determine what kind of structure you need, how the structure would best be placed within your project and discuss general design possibilities. In the case that we cannot meet you on site, we are also available to communicate via email, phone, fax or what our clients require.

After the initial site survey, our design specialists will take your ideas and bring them to life. They will put together a production proposal that will show a rendering of your shade sail or structure and the terms of the manufacturing agreement, complete with price. A deposit of 50% of the full contract price is required to begin work on your project.

Engineering
Engineering is an essential part of any project. Whether it is the initial engineering that goes into the development of our standard shade structures, or the specialized engineering associated with our custom structures. As a full service design-build company, Bait Al Nobala Shade is able to be a part of as much or as little of your next shade structure project as needed.

Bait Al Nobala only provides installation support for the projects it manufactures, our installers are positioned to assist you with your onsite and installation needs. Please contact us to discuss your specific situation. In general, installation of a shade sail or shade structure can take anywhere from a few hours to multiple days or more. Many times installation requires drilling into building fascia, drilling into existing concrete slabs, or pouring new concrete footings to support the structure. Installation may also include machinery for mixing concrete, digging holes and generally performing the installation of your structure.

This is an inconvenience that we cannot avoid. Most of our commercial clients are more than aware of this scenario. However, especially if you are placing this structure in a residential application, be sure to make your neighbors and/or customers aware of when the structure will be installed.

Safety
Before you buy your shade sail, look carefully at where you can position it. Ensure all your fixing points are structurally sound. If you are fixing to a metal or timber facia, then facia supports (to a rafter/truss) are recommended. You can also erect your own support posts if required.

Prior to installation, consult your local council regarding building regulations that may apply in your area. Once the shade sail is in place, you should inspect the fixings regularly.

Do not use a fire (or patio heater) close to the fabric and do not use your barbeque under the shade sail.

Take your sail down in strong wind conditions.

Size and Shape of the Shade Sail
The position and distance of the structurally sound fixing (anchor) points will determine the size and shape of shade sail that you can purchase.

Measure the area that your shade sail needs to cover, from fixing point to fixing point. Your shade sail needs to be SMALLER than this area. On each corner of the sail you need to allow for a space between the sail tip and the fixing point that is at least 10% of the sail length. This will allow for enough room for fixing hardware, material stretch and tensioning of the sail.

Shade sails look better when their elevations change from corner to corner (some corners higher than others.) The slope on the shade sail also helps with water runoff. (See the image below as an example.)

When determining the position of your shade sail it is important to keep in mind that the sun is constantly moving from East to West and so the shade underneath your sail moves too. The shade is not always directly under the sail.

How to Install the Sail Shade

Step 1:
Lay out the sail in a relaxed state leaving a minimum distance of 10% of the sail length for tensioning. For example, if the sail is 3m x 3m square, then at each corner you need to have a gap of 30cm (or more) between the corner of the relaxed sail and the structural fixing point.

Step 2:
Make sure the fixing points are structurally sound. Facia supports may be required.

If additional supports are needed you could use a treated timber post. (Round minimum 125mm diameter or Square 125mm x 125mm.) Otherwise you could use a galvanised steel post at least 4mm thick. (Round minimum 100mm diameter, or Square 100mm x 100mm.)

Step 3:
Dig footings with the centre of the footing measured as the approximate location point of the sail. Line footings with gravel if required. Place the post in the hole and pour in concrete.

Step 4:
Determine the appropriate fixing accessories that you'll need. (See below.)
NOTE: A minimum of TWO fixing accessories must be tensioning devices.

Step 5:
Connect the Shade Sail to mounting points with all fixing accessories facing towards the middle of the sail and secure tightly.

Step 6:
Tension the Shade Sail.

Car Park Shade Structure : Sail Shade Structure

Sails Shade protects and shade your outdoor areas. Also known as Sun Sails, shade sails make beautiful additions to your patio, backyard, or other outdoor areas, and they provide excellent protection from the sun and its harmful UV radiation. A chic shade sail is the perfect alternative to a traditional pergola or covered porch. Floating and curvaceous, Shade Sails make an attractive addition to any property, and with the right design, they can enhance the existing property with artistic or architectural flair and style.

Sail Shades are wonderfully versatile; they can be attached to homes, trees, or patio columns. In addition, they can be supported by wood posts or steel columns embedded in concrete footings, and they can also be taken down seasonally as required.

Shade Sails are the ultimate in stylish sun protection. Courtyards, pool areas, gardens, children's play areas, car spaces, and even entry ways can all benefit from the cool good looks of a Shade Sail solution.

The perimeter of each sail is designed with a gentle cantenary curve inwards towards the center of the sail to control the fabric tension. Shade sails have reinforced webbing around the perimeter and marine stainless steel D or "Delta" rings at each corner. When properly tensioned, shade sail fabric will not wrinkle, sag, or flap in the wind.

Available in a variety of shapes, colors, and materials, Shade Sails are a decorative and affordable way to create shade that will keep you more comfortable in hot weather. These state of the art materials block the sun's harmful UV rays yet remain totally unaffected by moisture and natural temperature extremes. Some shade sail fabrics provide waterproof / water resistant properties.

Shade sails are available in different fabrics and fabric weights. The most commonly used fabric from companies such as Coolaroo is a high density polyethylene material that is very durable and resistant to moisture, mildew, and rot. High density polyethylene shade sails are weighted in grams per square meter (gsm) and usually range from around 120 gsm to 340 gsm. A shade sail using a 340 gsm fabric will be a more densely knitted fabric than a 200 gsm fabric. The denser the fabric, the higher the UV protection. A quality shade sail will use stainless steel D-rings in the corners and will have reinforced edges.

Shade Sails are the most cost effective shade solution per square foot!
